1872. OF THE SENATE. W
The unfinished business being the amendments to the" bill,
for the support of the Government for the year ending De-
cember 31, 1872, as proposed by the Committee on Finance,
as follows :
AMENDMENTS PROPOSED.
Under caption "Baltimore City" amend, after the words
"dollars" in line 16, add the following :
"To the Reverned Edward Brennan, for the use of St.
Edward's, Academy, in the City of Cumberland, to be ap-
plied to the support and education of free scholars of said.
Academy, the sum of seven hundred and fifty dollars; to the
Home of the Friendless, fifteen hundred dollars; to St Vin-
cent's Infant Asylum, in the City of Baltimore, fifteen hun-
dred dollars; to the House of the Good Shepherd, in the City
of Baltimore, one thousand dollars; to St. Ague's Hospital,
the sum of five hundred dollars; to the Children's Aid Soci-
ety, of the City of Baltimore, five hundred dollars; to the
Baltimore Orphan Asylum, one thousand dollars; to St.
Mary's Industrial School, five thousand dollars; to the Shelt-
er for Colored Orphans, tour hundred dollars; to St. Antho-
ny's Orphan Asylum, four hundred dollars; to St Vincent's
Orphan Asylum, four hundred dollars; to the German Or-
phan Asylum, tour hundred dollars; to St Mary's Orphan
Asylum, four hundred dollars; to the Union Orphan Asylum,
four hundred dollars; to the Manuel Labor School, tour hun-
dred dollars; to the Boy's Home, five hundred dollars; to the
Church Home and Infirmary, three thousand dollars; to the
Home of the Friendless Children, in Easton, Talbot county,
one thousand dollars.
The amendments were adopted by yeas and. nays, as fol-
lows :
