Mr. Earle, from the Committee on Finance, reported The Senate bill for an optional liquor law for Caroline county, and, On motion by Mr. Earle, The Committee on Finance were excused from further con- sideration thereof, and the bill referred to Messrs. Fields, Henry and Compton. The House bill making appropriations for the year to end December 31, 1873, Being on its third reading, Mr. Steiner moved to strike out $20,000, and insert (25,000, where it occurs in line 25, section 1.
