A bill, entitled an Act, to authorize the Quarterly Con-
ference of Williamsport and Berkeley Mission of the Metho-
dist Protestant Church to hold and dispose of the Methodist
Protestant Church property in Clearspring, Washington
county,
Asked to be discharged from the further consideration
thereof, and that the subject be referred to the Washington
delegation.
The committee was discharged and the leave so referred.
Mr. Griswold, Chairman of the Committee on the Judici-
ary, to whom leave was granted to introduce
A bill, entitled an Act to enable or advise the County
Commissioners of Allegany county, under Article I., of the
Code of Public Local Laws, entitled " Allegany County,"
under the head of County Commissioners, to appoint a
County Treasurer to receive and disburse the county taxes
under their orders, by adding after section 20, of said Ar-
ticle I, the following sub-sections thereto,
Asked to be discharged from the further consideration
thereof, and that the subject be referred to the Allegany
delegation.
The committee was discharged and the leave so referred.
The hour of one o'clock, P. M., having arrived, the House
proceeded to the consideration of the unfinished business of
yesterday, being
The bill, entitled an Act to repeal section second of Article
LX1V. of the Code of Public General Laws, relating to mort-
gages, and to re-enact the same with amendments,
Said bill being upon a second reading.
The question recurring upon the motion submitted by Mr.
Bowie, to postpone the further consideration of the subject,
and make the bill the order of the day for Tuesday next, the-
sixth of February,
Pending the consideration whereof,
Mr. Bowie moved that the House do now adjourn.
