Said bill was then read the second time. Also, reported favorably, The Senate bill entitled an Act to pay to John Feast a sum of money. Said bill was read the second time and ordered to be en- grossed for a third reading. Also, reported favorably, The House bill entitled an Act to appropriate a sum of money to pay the claim of Wm. T. Markland & Bro., for rebuilding State Tobacco Warehouse No. 2, as per contract made with the Commissioner of Labor and Agriculture. Said bill was then read the second time. Mr. Carroll, from the Committee on Militia, reported favorably, The House bill entitled an Act to pay Henry O. Connell, a sum of money for the use of his warehouse as an armory. Said bill was then read the second time. Mr. Tuck, from a Select Committee, reported favorably on The House bill entitled an Act to repeal an Act entitled an Act to repeal sections 5, 6 and 8, of chapter 24, passed De- cember Session, 1835, entitled an Act to authorize William Krebs, Richard Linthicum, and William Linthicum, to build a bridge over Gwynn's Falls, at or near where the present bridge stands, known as the long bridge, With the following amendment: AMENDMENT PROPOSED. Section 5, line 6, strike out the word "required," and in- sert "authorized." |
