Messrs. President, Earle, Blake, Longwell, Compton, Spates, Carroll, Sellman, Denson, Steiner, Davis, Tuck, Downs, Wilson.—14. NEGATIVE. Mr. Williams—1. Mr. Longwell, from a Select Committee, reported favorably on The House bill relating to the appointment of a Clerk to the County Commissioners of Carroll county. Said bill was read the second time. The Senate bill entitled an Act to repeal section 89, Ar- ticle LVI. of the Code of Public General Laws, title "Licenses," and to re-enact the same as amended, Was read the second time and ordered to be engrossed for a third reading. The Senate bill entitled an Act to prevent fishing for bass fish in the Potomac River, except by hook and line, Was read the second time and ordered to be engrossed for a third reading. On motion by Mr. Williams, Leave was granted to the Committee on Judicial Proceed- ings to report a bill. to add a new section to Article XCIII of the Code of Public General Laws, "title "Testamentary Law," sub title "Orphans' Court, authorizing the Judges of the Orphans' Court to have the records in the offices of Regis- ters of Wills transcribe, when in their judgment, the same may be necessary.
