1872. OF THE SENATE. 481 supplement to an Act approved April sixth, 1867, en- titled an Act to incorporate the Broadway and Locust Point Steam Ferry Company of Maryland, and to grant, on certain conditions, the right to use the wharf known as the County Wharf, approved March 28th, 1868. Which was read the first time. Mr. Spates, from the Committee on Corporations, re- ported A bill, entitled an Act to incorporate the Mechanics' Savings bank of Baltimore. Which wag read a first time. Mr. Compton, from a Select Committee, reported favo- rably on The House bill, entitled an Act to provide for the protection of wild turkeys in Charles county. Which was read the second time, The Senate resolutions instructing the Governor to issue a commission to the Hon. George B. Dennis, Senator elect to the Congress of the United States, Was read a third time and passed by yeas and, nay, as follows: AFFIRMATIVE. Messrs. President, Downs, Blake, Miller, Compton, Spates, Carroll, Sell man, Crawford, Spencer, Denson, Steiner, Davis, Wilson—14. N NEGATIVE—None. Said resolutions -were then sent to the House of Delegates.. The Senate Joint Resolution instructing the Governor to employ counsel to being suit against the Equitable Fire In- surance Company of Baltimore, Was read the third time, and passed by yeas and nays, as follows: AFFIRMATIVE. Messrs. President, Downs, Blake, Miller, Compton, Spates, Carroll, Sellman, Crawford, Spencer, Denson, Steiner, Davis, Wilson—14. NEGATIVE—None. |
