The following Senate bills having passed both branches of' the General Assembly of Maryland, were this day presented to the Governor for his approval: An Act to legalize the bequest of Mrs. Ann Stump, late of Harford county, to the Deer Creek Harmony Church, in Har- ford county. An Act to extend the jurisdiction of Justices of the Peace- for Talbot county, to cases of assault and battery. An Act to authorize the County Commissioners of Allegany county to issue bonds to raise money to build a new Jail in Allegany county, and to enlarge, improve and repair the Court House, Clerk's office and Register's office, in said county, and insure the county buildings and property of said, county. An Act to create an additional Election District in Car- roll county, to be styled the Twelfth Election District of Carroll county. An Act to amend the Charter of the Canton Company of Baltimore. AUGUSTUS GASSAWAY, Secretary of the Senate. The Clerk of the House of Delegates appeared and deliv- ered the following bills : The House bill, entitled an Act for the registration of vo- ters in Election District No. 2, in Frederick county. Which was read the first time and referred to Messrs.. Steiner, Jump and Davis. Also, The House bill, entitled an Act to divide Election District No. 2, of Frederick county, into four polls, and to repeal an Act passed by the General Assembly of Maryland, on the first day of February, in the year 1862, chapter 53, entitled an Act to divide Election District, No. 2, in Frederick county into two polls. Which was read the first time and referred to Messrs. Stei- ner, Jump and Davis. Also, The House bill, entitled an Act to repeal the first and third sections of chapter 434, of the Act of the General Assembly |
