President, Longwell, Blake, Miller, Carroll, Spates, Denson, Williams—9. Davis, On motion by Mr, Earle, Leave was granted to Messrs. Earle, Jump and Spencer to report a bill to repeal portions of the Acts of 1856 and 1867, regulating the mode of electing officers and directors in the Queen Anne's and Kent Railroad Company, and to enact amendments in substitution therefor. On motion by Mr. Denson, Leave was granted to the Committee on Finance to intro- duce a bill to release to Mrs. Eleanor Kohler all the right and interest of the State of Maryland in and to the personal es- tate of William Frederick Gary, late of Baltimore City, de- ceased . On motion by Mr. Claggett, ' Leave was granted to the Committee on Corporations to introduce a bill, entitled an Act supplementary to an Act, passed at December Session, 1832, chapter 125, entitled an Act to incorporate a Company to make a Turnpike Road from Williamsport to Hagerstown, and an Act passed at De- cember Session, 1833, chapter 267, entitled a supplement to an Act, entitled an Act to incorporate a Company to make a Turnpike Road from Williamsport to Hagerstown, and also an Act passed at December Session, 1835, chapter 113, en- titled a supplement to an Act, entitled an Act to incorporate a Company to make a Turnpike from Williamsport to Hag- erstown, passed at December Session, 1832, chapter 125. Also, Leave to Messrs. Claggett, Crawford .and Stephenson to introduce a bill, entitled an Act to repeal a supplement to an Act passed at the January Session, 1865, chapter 200, enti- tled an Act to incorporate a Company to make a Turnpike Road from Hagerstown, in Washington county, to the Penn- sylvania line, and to re-enact the same. |
