1872.] OF THE SENATE. 387 Mr. Davis, from a Select Committee, to which had been referred, The House bill, entitled an Act authorizing the County Commissioners of Baltimore county, to build a bridge over Jones' Falls, Reported said bill with the following amendment: AMENDMENT PROPOSED. Strike out the words "and required," on lint 3, section 1, and insert the words "if in their judgment the interest of the county require it." Which was adopted. Said bill, as amended, was read the second time. Mr. Tuck, from a Select Committee, to which had been referred, The House bill, entitled an Act to prevent the erection of gates upon the public roads in Anne Arundel and Prince George's county, Reported favorably thereon, and said bill was then read the second time. The Clerk of the House of Delegates returned The Senate bill, entitled an Act to prevent the sale of spirituous liquors at or near Emory Grove Camp-Meeting Grounds. Endorsed, "Considered, and passed by yeas and nays with the following amendment: AMENDMENT PROPOSED. At the end of section 1, add the following proviso, "Pro- vided, nothing in this Act shall be construed to prevent the aforesaid Clerk from granting a license to any person or persons now selling fermented liquors or lager beer within the aforesaid prescribed limits." Said amendment was concurred in, and the bill passed by yeas and nays as follows : AFFIRMATIVE. Messrs.
