The further consideration of said amendment was post-
poned until 12 o'clock to-morrow.
Mr. Blake presented the petition of Ruth Robinson, ask-
ing for a pension.
Which was read and referred to the Committee on Pen-
sions.
Leave of absence was granted to Mr. Carroll until Mon-
day next.
On motion by Mr. Stephenson,
Leave of absence was granted to Mr. Claggett for one week.
On motion by Mr. Earle,
Leave was granted to the Committee on Pensions to report
a bill to place Edward H. Coursey, a soldier of the war of
1812, on the pension list.
On motion by Mr. Steiner,
Leave was granted to the Committee on Finance to intro-
duce a bill, entitled an Act to repeal section 89, Article-
LVL, of the Code of Public General Laws, title "Li-
censes," and to re-enact the same so as to read as follows.
The Hon. J. T. Mason having appeared and delivered
communication from his Excellency, Governor Whyte,
On motion by Mr. Longwell,
The Senate proceeded to Executive Session.
Having resumed Legislative business,
On motion by Mr Denson.
