Commissioners, for the highest price they can procure for
them in cash, but none shall be sold under their par value,
and no commission shall be allowed for a sale or disposition
thereof; and shall be sold as rapidly as the proceeds arising
therefrom may be required to pay for; building a Court House
and offices, and furnishing the same as hereinafter provided ;
and when said County Commissioners shall have realized
from the gale of said builds a sum sufficient to pay for the
building and furnishing said Court House and offices, the bal-
ance of said bonds, if any remain unsold, shall be cancelled
and destroyed by said County Commissioners, and the said
bonds, thus issued and sold, shall be free from all taxation.
SEC. 3. And be it enacted, That the County Commissioners
aforesaid shall, and they are hereby required, each and every
year after the passage of this Act, and at the time and place
of making a levy for county and State purposes, on the as-
sessable property of Washington county, to levy and impose
a separate and distinct tax upon the assessable property of
said county, in amount suflicient to pay all the interest dur-
ing the current year on all of the said bonds, and all the
principal of the instalment of five thousand dollars of said
bonds that becomes due next after the levying of said tax ;
and the money arising from said tax shall be known as the
Court House Fund, and shall be used by the said County
Commissioners, for the exclusive purpose of paying off the
principal and interest of the aforesaid bonds, in the man-
lier aforesaid, until all of said b')nds and. interest shall have
been paid, and the Li bonds redeemed, and that said tax shall
be collected and accounted for, as all other County and State
taxes are collected in Washington county by the Collector
or Collectors of taxes for said county.
SEC. 4. And be if enacted, That the County Commission-
ers aforesaid, shall, and they are hereby required, to pay all
and every draft drawn upon them by any person or persons
engaged in building the Court House in Washington County,
offices attached or belonged thereto, or furnishing the same ;
Provided, the said draft or drafts are properly countersigned
by the Commissioners, or a majority of them appointed by
tills Act as hereinafter provided for, as well as to pay said
Commissioner for their services and expenses, as herein-after provided for.
SEC. 6. And be it enacted, That if said County Commis-
sioners shall not be able to sell the aforesaid bonds to raise
the necessary funds for the purposes aforesaid, as promptly
as the same may be required, then the said County Commis-
sioners are hereby directed to borrow so much money as may
be necessary for the purposes aforesaid, on such terms as
