The House bill, entitled an Act to authorize the County
Commissioners of Montgomery county to make certain im-
provements in the Court House of said county,
Reported favorably thereon, and
Said bill was read the second time.
Mr. Earle, from the Committee on Finance, to which
leave had been granted, reported
A bill, entitled an Act to repeal sections 27, 28, 29, 30,
31, 32, 33, 34, 35 and 36, of Article LVI, of the Code of
Public General Laws, entitled "Licenses," sub-title "For-
eign Corporations and Companies," and to re-enact the
same with amendments.
Which was read the first time.
Also, from the same committee,
A bill, entitled an Act for the more strict compliance of
the State of Maryland with the provisions of the Act of Con-
gress relating to Agricultural Colleges,
Which was read the first time.
Also, from the same committee, to which had been recom-
mitted,
The Senate bill, entitled an Act to appropriate a sum of
money to protect the graves of former members of the Legis-
lature, whose remains are deposited in the Annapolis Ceme-
tery,
Reported unfavorably thereon, and the report was adopted.
Also, from the same committee, to which had. been re-
ferred.
The House bill, entitled an Act to authorize the Comp-
troller to adjust and settle the claims of Benjamin F. May
and others, late Grain Inspectors in the City of Baltimore,
Reported favorably thereon, and said bill was read the
second time.
Also, from the same committee, to which had been recom-
mitted
The Senate bill, entitled an Act to repeal the Act of 1870,
chapter 394, entitled an Act to amend the Acts of 1867,
chapter 341, relating to the valuation and assessment of
property in this State,
Reported favorably thereon.
