Father Oates. Present at roll call the following Senators : Messrs. President, Blake, Compton, Carroll, Crawford, Den- son, Dennis, Fields, Henry, Jump, Miller, Stephenson, Spates, Sellman, Steiner, Timmons, Tuck, Williams—18. The proceedings of yesterday were read and approved. Mr. Denson presented the petition and vouchers of John Downey, for payment of a claim for money paid for the Third Maryland Regiment. Which were read and referred to the Committee on Fi- nance: Also, The petition and vouchers of John Downey, for payment for armory rented by Company "O," First Baltimore City M. N. Guard. Which were read and referred to the Committee on Fi- nance. Mr. Steiner presented the petition of R. Holliday and one hundred and twenty-four colored citizens of Caroline county, praying for greater educational advantages. Which was read and referred to the Committee on Educa- tion. |
