-234 JOURNAL OF PROCEEDINGS [Feb. 16, NEGATIVE. Messrs. Carroll, Stephenson, Longwell, Spates—4. Said bill was then returned to the House of Delegates. Mr. Tuck presented the petition of Daniel T. Hyde, and -other citizens of Annapolis, praying an appropriation to -erect a public school house. Which was read and referred to the Committee on Edu- cation. Mr. Tuck, from the Committee on Judicial Proceedings, to which leave had been granted, reported A bill, entitled an Act to amend an re-enact section 21, of Article V. of the Code of Public General Laws, title "Appeals." Which was read the first time. Mr. Claggett, from the same Committee, reported A bill, entitled an Act to repeal section 63, of Article XVI. of the Code of Public General Laws, entitled "Chancery," sub-title "Jurisdiction," and to re-enact the same with amendments. Which was read the first time. On motion by Mr. Stephenson, it was Ordered, That when the Senate adjourns to day, it stands -adjourned to Monday next, at 12 o'clock. Mr. Tuck, from the Committee on Judicial Proceedings, to which leave had been granted, reported A bill; entitled an Act to amend and re-enact section 3, of Article V. of the Code of Public General Laws, title "Ap- peals." Which was read the first time.
