1872.] OF THE SENATE. 225 Senate bill, entitled an Act to repeal section 193, of Ar- ticle .III., of the Public Local Laws, title " Baltimore County," sub-title " Sheriff," as follows : AFFIRMATIVE. Messrs. President, Jump, Blake, Longwell, Compton, Miller, Carroll. Stephenson, Glaggett, Spates, Denson, Spencer, Davis, Steiner, Dennis, Timmons, Fields, Wilson—18. NEGATIVE—None. Said bill was read the third time and passed by yeas and nays, as follows: AFFIRMATIVE. Messrs. President, Jump, Blake, Longwell, Compton, Miller, Carroll, Stephenson, Claggett, Spates, Denson, Spencer, Davis, Steiner, Dennis, Wilson, Fields, Williams—18. NEGATIVE—None. Said bill was then sent to the House of Delegates. Mr. Stephenson presented the memorial of twenty-one citi- zens of Harford County, praying the passage of a law compel- ling the Baltimore and Harford Turnpike Company to place their road in a good and safe condition for travel. Which was read and referred to the Committee hereto- fore appointed upon that subject. On motion by Mr. Stephenson, The rules were suspended, as required by section 27, of Article III. of the Constitution, so as to give a third read- ing this day, to House bill, entitled an Act making sundry appropriations for the support of the Government for the year .ending the first day of January, 1873, as follows : AFFIRMATIVE.
