Leave was granted to Messrs. Denson, Blake and Wilson
to prepare and report a bill, entitle! an Act to repeal Section
810 or Article IV , of the Code of Public Local Laws of the
City of Baltimore, chapter 287, passed at January Session,
1870, relating to Police of the said city, and re-enact the same
in the following manner.
On motion by Mr. Claggett,
Leave was granted to Messrs. Claggett, Stephens and
Crawford to prepare and report a bill, entitled an Act to re-
peal Section 2, Chapter 273, of the Acts of Assembly, passed
at the January Session of 1870, in relation to the publication
of the Public Local Laws, so far as the same relate to Wash-
ington county.
On motion by Mr. Tuck,
Leave was granted to the Committee on Pensions to pre-
pare and report a bill, entitled an Act to grant a pension to
Daniel Hart, a soldier in the war of 1812.
Mr. Spates, from the Committee on Corporations; to which
leave had been granted, reported a bill, entitled an Act to
incorporate the Queen City Savings' Bank, of Cumberland,
Maryland.
Which was read the first time.
Mr. Spates, from a Select Committee, to which leave had
been granted, reported a bill, entitled an Act to authorize
the Agricultural and Mechanical Society, of Allegany county
and West Virginia and Pennsylvania, to issue additional
coupon bonds, and secure the payment thereof.
Which was read the first time.
On motion by Mr. Earle,
The Committee on Claims was directed to pay the Naval
Academy Band the sum of $116 for services rendered on the
10th instant.
Mr. Earle presented a bill, entitled an Act to repeal sec-
tions 27, 28, 29, 30, 31, 32, 33, 34, 35, and 36 of Article
LVI. of the code of Public General Laws entitled " Licences,"
sub-title " Corporations and Companies," and to re-enact the
same with amendments, which,
On motion by Mr. Earle,
Was ordered to be printed.
The Joint Resolutions in relation to a survey of the harbor
of Patuxent river, etc.,
Were read the second time and ordered to be engrossed for
