Fields and Sellman) who, conjointly with the Committee of the House of Dele- gates, retired from the Senate Chamber to count the ballots. The Committee appointed by the Senate and House of Del- egates to count the votes cast for Treasurer of Maryland beg leave to report that The votes cast by the Senate were in number............... 25 The votes cast by the House of Delegates were in number. '80 Making in all......................................................105 Of which number John W. Davis received 92 votes and Joseph Shriver 13 votes. We therefore respectively report that John W. Davis, hav- ing received the largest number of votes, is returned by the Committee as elected to the office of Treasurer of Maryland. DANIEL FIELDS, WM. O. SELLMAN, E. GRISWOLD, ANDREW BANKS. Whereupon, it was declared that John W. Davis is duly elected Treasurer. On motion by Mr. Miller, Senate bill No. 2, in relation to stationery, was taken up for consideration. The question being upon the engrossment of said bill lor third leading, It was determined it the negative, by yeas and nays, as follows:
