The Secretary of the Senate delivered the following mes- sages : BY THE SENATE, January 24, 1872. Gentlemen of the House of Delegates: We have received your message, proposing the appoint- ment of a Joint Committee, to cancel certain coupons, in said message mentioned, and concur therein. We have appointed on the part of the Senate, Mr. Wil- liams. By order, AUGUSTUS GASSAWAY, Secretary. BY THE SENATE, January 24th, 1872. Gentlemen of the House of Delegates: We have received your message, proposing the appoint- ment of a Joint Committee to confer on the action of the Senate, adopting an amendment to House Resolutions enti- tled "Resolutions to authorize the Governor to employ addi- tional counsel, if, in his judgment, the same may be neces- sary, to defend the State's interest in the suit now pending in the Territory of Columbia, between W. W. Corcoran and the Chesapeake and Ohio Canal Company," and concur therein. We have appointed on the part of the Senate, Messrs,. Williams and Henry. By order, AUGUSTUS GASSAWAY, Secretary Which were severally read. On motion of Mr. Kirk, At 2 1/2 o'clock, F. M., the House adjourned. |
