lency, the Governor, and inform him that the General As-
sembly propose to adjourn at 12 o'clock, midnight, and en-
quire of him whether he has any further communication to
make to them.
We have appointed on the part of the Senate, Messrs.
fields and Compton.

Mr. dark, of Baltimore City, submitted the following mes-
sage:
BY THE HOUSE OF DELEGATES,
i April 1, 1872.
Gentlemen of the Senate:
We have received your message proposing a Joint Com-
mittee to wait upon the Governor and inform him that the
General Assembly propose to adjourn at 12 o'clock, mid-
nigt, and concur therein.
We have appointed on the part of the House, Messrs.
dark, of Baltimore City, Chapman and Polk.

Which was read, assented to, and sent to the Senate.
The Hon. John Thompson Mason delivered the following
message from his Excellency, the Governor:
EXECUTIVE DEPARTMENT,
Annapolis, April 1, 1872.
Gentlemen of the House of Delegates:
I return to the House, in which it originated, a bill en-
titled an Act to repeal sub-section 1, of section 173, of Article
IV., of the Code of Public Local Laws, title "City of Balti-
more," sub-titled "Courts," as the said sub-section 1 was
adopted by the Act of 1870, chapter 177, entitled an Act to
change the jurisdiction of the Supreme Bench of Baltimore
City," and reapportion and enlarge the jurisdiction of the
Baltimore City Court, the Superior Court of Baltimore City,
and the Court of Common Pleas, as provided by section 39,
of Article IV., of the Constitution, and to re-enact the same-
as amended, without my signature.
