The Senate bill entitled an Act to make provision for the payment of the State bonds past due and other* not yet due,.
by selling the State stocks and bonds,
Being upon a third reading,
Mr, Stone submitted the following amendments:
AMENDMENTS PROPOSED,
Add to title the words "hereinafter mentioned." Strike-
out balance of preamble after word "security," in line 23,.
page 2. Strike out balance of section 2, after the word
"bonds," in line 14, page 3.
Strike out all of section 4, after the word "payment," in
line 9, page 4, and insert "as aforesaid."
Strike out sections 5 and 6; make section 7 section 5; add
as section 6:
And be it enacted, That this Act shall take effect from and
after the date of its passage.
Which were severally read and adopted, and
The bill as amended, was then read. a third time and passed
by yeas and nays, as follows:
