1400 JOURNAL OF PROCEEDINGS [April 1,
"To Daniel M. Thomas, for services as Auditor in said
cases, the sum of five hundred dollars."
Under head "Militia:"
Provided, that no part of the said appropriation shall he
paid for Clerk hire.
In line 20, section 15, Home of the Friendless Children in
Easton, Talbot county, "two thousand dollars."
Which were severally read.
Also, returned,
The bill entitled an Act making further appropriations for
the support of the Government, tor the year ending the list
day of December 1873.
Endorsed, "Passed by yeas and nays with proposed amend-
ments."
AMENDMENTS PROPOSED.
Under caption Baltimore City, amend after word "dol-
lars," in line 16 add the following:
To the Rev. Edward Brennan, for the use of the St. Ed-
ward's Academy in the City of Cumberland, to be applied to
the support and education of Free Scholars of said Academy,
the sum of seven hundred and fifty dollars.
To the Home of the Friendless, fifteen hundred dollars.
To St. Vincent's Infant Asylum, in the City of Baltimore,
fifteen hundred dollars.
To the House of the Good Shepherd, in the City of Balti-
more, one thousand dollars.
To St. Agnes' Hospital, the sum of five hundred dollars.
To the Children's Aid Society, of the City of Baltimore,
five hundred dollars.
To the Baltimore Orphan Asylum, one thousand dollars.
To St. Mary's Industrial School, five thousand dollars.
To the Shelter for Colored Orphans, four hundred dollars.
To St. Anthony's Orphan Asylum, four hundred dollars.
To St. Vincent's Orphan Asylum, four hundred dollars.
TO St. Mary's Orphan Asylum, four hundred dollars.
To the Union Orphan Asylum, four hundred dollars.
To the Manual Labor School, four hundred dollars.
To the Boys' Home, five hundred dollars.
