The Secretary of the Senate delivered the following bills severally endorsed, "Passed by yeas and nays." The bill entitled an Act to make a contribution towards the Washington National Monument. Which was read, a first time and referred to the Commit- tee on Ways and Means. Also, The bill entitled an Act to repeal section 143, of the Code of Public General Laws, title "Chancery," sub-title "Testi- mony and Witnesses," and to re-enact the same in amended. form. "Which, was read. a first time and referred to the Commit- tee on Judiciary. Also, returned, The bill entitled an Act for the protection of terrapins in the waters of Dorchester county. Endorsed, "Passed by yeas and nays." Also, The bill entitled an Act to repeal sections 1, 2, 5, 6, 9 and. 11, of Article ——, of the Code of Public General Laws, title "Small Pox," and to re-enact the same with. amend- ments, and to re-enact section 10 of said Article. Endorsed, "Passed by yeas and nays." Also, The bill entitled an Act to repeal section 12, of Article 28', of the Code of Public General Laws, title "County Com- missioners," and to re-enact the same with amendments, Endorsed, "Passed by yeas and nays."
