1286 JOURNAL OF PROCEEDINGS [Mar. 29,
The bill entitled an Act to create a loan to provide for the
payment of the overdue debt of the State, and for the ex-
changing or taking up the sterling debt of the State and is-
suing a currency loan in lieu thereof,
Was read a second (time and ordered to be engrossed for a
third reading,
The bill entitled an Act to repeal sections 1, 2, 3, 4, 5 and
6 of Article IV.; of the Code of Public General Laws, title
"Aliens," and to re-enact the following in lieu thereof, au-
thorizing aliens to hold and dispose iff real estate,
Was read a second time and ordered to be engrossed for a
third reading.
The bill entitled an Act. to repeal section 2, of the Act of
1870, chapter 79, incorporating the town of Frostburg, in
AIlegany county, and to re-enact the same with amendments,
Was read a third time, and rejected by yeas and nays, as
