1872.] OF THE HOUSE OF DELEGATES. 1267 Act to amend Article XXI , of the Code of Public Local Laws, title "Washington County," by amending and re-enacting certain section-i and adding thereto further sections and to re-enact, the same with amendments, so as elect the Councilmen of Hagerstown, by the voters in their respective wards "1 said town, and authorize the Justices of the Peace to enforce the ordinances relative to) crime and punishments, Which was lead a second time. On motion of Mr. Chapman, (the rules being suspended the House proceeded to) the consideration of / The Senate hill entitled an Act to repeal an Act passed at January Session, 1870, chapter 61, entitled an Ait for the protection of fish and terrapins in the tributaries of the Po- tomac River, lying in ''to. Mary's county, and to regulate the time and manner of catching and taking fish ail terrapins in that portion of' the Potomac River between Cobb's Point in Charles county, ami Point Lockout in St. Mary's county, and to substitute the following in lieu thereof. Said bill being upon a third reading, On motion of Mr. Chapman, The further consideration thereof was postponed, and the bill recommitted to the Committee reporting (.he same. Mr Groome, Chrairman of the Committee on Federal Relations, reported favorably, The Senate bill entitled an Act granting to the United States of America, a further addition to the site of the Naval School at Annapolis, and citing the jurisdiction, over the same. Which was read a second time. Mr. Colton, or St. Mary's, Chairman of a Select Commit- tee, to whom was referred The Senate bill entitled an Act to repeal an Act passed at January Session, 18701, chapter 61, entitled. an Act tor the protection of fish. in the tributaries of the Potomac River, lying in St. Mary's county, and to regulate the tune and manner of catching and taking fish and terrapin in that por- tion of the Potomac River, between Cobb's Point in Charles county, and Point Lookout in .'St. Mary's county, and substitute the following in lieu thereof, reported the same favor- ably.
