So the bill was substituted for the unfavorable report of
the Committee.
The bill wag then read a second time.
Mr. Stone, Chairman of the Committee on Ways and
Means, reported unfavorably,
The bill entitled an Act to authorize the Governor to ap-
point a Commissioner to examine the fisheries of the State, with a view to their increase, improvement and protection,
and to report thereon to the next General Assembly, and to
introduce into the Great Gunpowder River, and other suitable-
waters of the State, the fish known an the black bass, and
to appropriate & sum of money to defray the expense thereof,
and the report was adopted.
Also, unfavorably,
The Senate bill entitled an Act to appropriate & sum. of
money to the Maryland Eye and Ear institute.
The question recurring upon the adoption of the unfavorable report of the Committee.
Mr. Chaisty moved to substitute the bill for the unfavora-
ble report of the Committee.
Which was decided in the negative.
The question then recurring upon the adoption of the un
favorable report of the Committee.
It was adopted.
