1168 JOURNAL OF PROCEEDINGS [Mar. 37, Mr. Stone submitted the following amendment: AMENDMENT PROPOSED. Line 6, under head of "Miscellaneous," strike out the words "five hundred and forty," and insert the words "six hundred." Which was adopted. Mr. Streett submitted the following amendment. AMENDMENT PROPOSED. Under the title, "Miscellaneous," after the word "dollars," in line 7, insert the following : "And to defray the expenses incurred in procuring reli- able vaccine virus, the farther sum of fourteen hundred dol- lars. . Amend the title BO as to read, "for the year ending the 31st. day of December, 1873," The amendments were severally rend and adopted, and The bill, as amended, was read a second time and ordered to be engrossed, tor a third reading. Mr. Kirk moved that the House do now adjourn, The question recurring upon concurring in the motion, Mr. Harig demanded the yeas and nays, The demand being sustained, the yeas and nays were called, and appeared as follows :
