So the amendment was adopted. Mr. Streett submitted the following amendment: AMENDMENT PROPOSED. Page 4, after the word company," insert: "Provided they shall prosecute the several cages to a final" determinate in the Court of lost records; and provided fur- ther that the sum of five hundred dollars, which said counsel contracted to pay to Daniel M. Thomas, for services as Au- ditor, shall be deducted from the amount hereby appropriat- ed/- The question recurring upon the adoption of the amend- ment, Mr. Stone demanded the yeas and nays, The demand being sustained, the yeas and nays were called, and appeared as follows :
