So the amendment was rejected.
Mr. dark, of Baltimore City, submitted the following
amendment:
AMENDMENT PROPOSED.
"Add at end of section, "For the benefit of the Baltimore
Dental College, and the Free Dispensary belonging thereto,
twenty-five hundred dollars, upon the condition that said col-
lege shall give free instructions to one student for each State
Senator to be recommended by said Senator."
Which was rejected.
Mr. Linthicum submitted the following amendment:
AMENDMENT PROPOSED.
After the word "dollars," in line 9, insert the following
words, lt Provided, however, that nothing in this Act shall
be so construed as to increase his salary during the term for
which he has been already appointed."
Which was read.
The question recurring upon the adoption of the amend-
