Mr. Travers presented the memorial of the National Board
of Trade of the United States in reference to inspections.
Also,
The memorial of the National Board of Trade of the United
States, in reference to the immovability of telegraphic dis-
patches.
Which wire severally read and referred to the Commit-
tee on the Judiciary.
Also,
The petition of Antoni Winter, of Baltimore City, asking
for compensation for use of armory, for State Militia.
Which was read and referred to the Committee on Militia.
Mr. Hurtt presented the petition of J. P. Ireland and sixty
other citizens of Kent county, against the transfer to the
Elkton and Middletown Railroad Company of the State's
money heretofore appropriated to the Elkton and Massey's
and Roads Railroad Companies.
Which was read and referred to the Cecil delegation.
Mr. Heckle submitted the following order :
Ordered, That the Chaplain of this House be paid five
hundred dollars for his services during the present Session.
Which was adopted.
The following Act having passed both branches of the
General Assembly,, was this day submitted to his Excellency,
the Governor, for his approval.
An Act to provide for the inspection of steam boilers in
the City of Baltimore.
Mr. Banks submitted the following message :
BY THE HOUSE OF DELEGATES,
March 27, 1872.
Gentlemen of the Senate:
We propose, with the concurrence of your Honorable Body,
the appointment of a Committee of Conference, to take into
consideration a bill entitled an Act to prohibit stock running
at large in Reistertown, Baltimore county, which was
returned to this House unfavorably reported from a Select
Committee, which unfavorable report was adopted by your
Honorable Body.
We have appointed on the part of the House, Messrs.
Banks, Foard, of Baltimore county and Litzinger.

Which was read, assented to, and sent to the Senate.
