The Senate bill entitled an Act to refund Thomas Claggett, of Prince George's county, moneys erroneously paid by
him to the Inspectors of Tobacco in Baltimore City, for outage
and storage.
Which was read a second time.
Also, reported
The Senate bill entitled an Act to appropriate a sum of
money to pay John Feast for labor done and materials fur-
nished, in improving the grounds within the enclosure of the
Governor's Mansion.
And asked to be discharged from the further consideration of
the same, and that said bill bo referred to the Committee on
Ways and Means.
The Committee was discharged, and the bill so referred.
Mr. Griswold, Chairman of the Committee on the Judiciary,
reported favorably,
The Senate bill entitled an Act to settle and adjust the
Boundary Line between the State of Virginia and Maryland.
Which was read a second time.
Mr. Groome, from the Committee on the Judiciary, to
whom was referred
The Senate bill entitled an Act to repeal, amend and re-
enact section 114, of Article XCIII. of the Code of Public
General Laws, title "Testamentary Law," sub-title "Debts,"
as amended and re-enacted by chapter 142, of January Ses-
sion, 1862,
Reported back the same favorably , with proposed amend-
ment.
AMENDMENT PROPOSED.
In section 114, line 1, strike out all after the word "shall,"
and insert ''enter in a suitable book to be provided for by him
that purpose, all claims against a decedent, in regular order as
they are passed by the Orphan's Court or Register of Wills,
giving the date of the passage, the name of the creditor, the
character of such claim, whether open account, note, bond,
bill obligatory, judgment or other evidence of debt, and the
amount thereof, if an open account, the interest due thereon
up to the date of the passage, shall be stated separately; if a
note, bond, bill obligatory, judgment or other evidence of
debt, the date thereof and the date from which interest begins
to run, shall also be stated, and other particulars of such
claims, and the entry of a claim upon such book, shall be
taken as notice to the administrator of its existence, and in
