1096 JOURNAL OF PROCEEDINGS [Mar. 25,
Was read a second time and ordered to be engrossed for a
third reading.
The bill entitled an Act to repeal section 27, of Article
LXXXI. of the Code of Public General Laws, title "Reve-
nue and Taxes," and to re-enact the same with amendments,
so as to make an uniform date for levying the State taxes in
the several counties and the City of Baltimore,
Being upon a second reading, :
Mr. Streett submitted the following amendment:
AMENDMENT PROPOSED.
Sec. 27, line 3, strike out the words "first Monday of May,"'
and insert "second Monday of April."
Which was adopted.
The bill, as amended, was then read a second time and or-
dered to be engrossed for a third reading.
The bill entitled an Act to tax the gross receipts of railroads in this State, for State purposes,
