The hour having arrived for taking up the order of the
day,
On motion of Mr. Streett, (the rules being suspended,)
The further consideration of all the orders of the day was
postponed, and
The House proceeded to the consideration of certain Reve-
nue bills.
The bill entitled an Act to authorize the issuing of licenses
to telegraph companies and express transportation companies,
not organized under the laws of this State, to transact busi-
ness therein, .
Was read a second time and ordered to he engrossed for a
third reading.
The bill entitled an Act to provide for cancelling the stocks
or bonds of the State of Maryland, now held by the Trea-
surer to the credit of the Sinking Fund, and to provide for
the investment of the augmentation of said Fund,
