The bill entitled an Act to repeal section 2, of Artic
LXIV, of the Code of Public General Laws, relating the
Mortgage*, and ra-enact the same with amendments,
Endorsed "Passed by yeas and nays, with proposed amend-
ments."
AMBHDMBHTB PROPOSED.
Amend by inserting in the second section, at the end of
thr 13th line, the words, << nor to any mortgages given by
Brewets to Malters, to secure the payment to the latter of
debts contracted by the former for malt, and other materials
used in the making of malt liquors.
Section 2, line 14, after the words "Anne Arundel," in-
sert the words " Baltimore and St. Mary's."
The amendments were severally read and adopted.
On motion of Mr. German, (Mr. Colton in the Chair,) the
vote by which the amendments were adopted,
Was reconsidered.
Mr. Clark, of Baltimore City, submitted the following
