1030 JOURNAL OF PROCEEDINGS [Mar. 21,
Leave was granted to the Joint Committee on Printing, to
introduce a bill to regulate the manner of giving out the
contracts for Legislative Printing,
On motion of Mr. Markland, (the rules being suspended,)
Leave was granted to the Committee on Ways and Means,
to introduce a bill to pay Frederick Raine a sum of money
due him for publishing the Laws of the Session of 1868.
On motion of Mr. Henkle, (the rules being suspended,)
Leave was granted to Messrs Henkle, Markland and Foard,
of Baltimore county, to introduce a bill to provide lor the con-
struction of a bridge or causeway across Gwynn's Falls,
near where the present bridge stands.
On motion of Mr. Dunbar, (the rules being suspended,)
Leave was granted to Messrs. Dunbar, Scott and Chapman,
to introduce a bill authorizing the County Commissioners of
St. Mary's county, the County Commissioners of Charles
county, the County Commissioners of Prince George's county,
to subscribe to the capital stock of the Washington and Point
Lookout Railroad.
The bill entitled an Act to refund to Truman Belt & Sons,
of Baltimore City, for the benefit of William D. Bowie, Sr.,
Clement Hill, Mordecai S. Plummer. Washington G. Beall
and others, moneys erroneously paid by them to Inspectors
of Tobacco in Baltimore City, for outage and storage,
Being upon a second reading,
Mr. Sasscer submitted the following amendment:
AMENDMENT PROPOSED.
Add at end of section one the following : "Standing to the
credit of the Tobacco fund."
Which was adopted.
The bill as amended, was then read a second time, and or-
dered to be engrossed for a third reading,
The bill entitled an Act to repeal sections 86, 95, 103,104,
305, 117, 118, 119, 120, 121, 324, 127, 128 to 129 of Article
4, of the Code of Public Local Laws, title "Baltimore City,"
subtitle "Auctions," and to re-enact the the same with
amendments, being upon a second reading,
Mr. Streett submitted the following amendment :
AMENDMENT PROPOSED.
Section 1, line 2, after the words "eighty-six," insert the
words "eighty-seven."
Which was adopted.
