So two-thirds of all the members present not having voted in the affirmative, The order was not adopted.. On motion of 'Mr. Streett, The rules were suspended, and Mr. McColgan presented certain Resolutions of a mass meeting of the citizens of Baltimore, held in the Maryland Institute, Monday, March 18, 1872, against the repeal of the present Sunday Law. Which were read and referred to the Select Committee on that subject. Mr. dark, of Baltimore City, (the rules being yet further suspended,) presented the petition of Hiram Woods and George H. Pagels, with five thousand four hundred and two other residents of Baltimore City, remonstrating against modifying the restrictions of the present Sunday Law. Which was read and referred to the Select Committee on that subject. Mr. Travers, (the rules being yet farther suspended,) pre- sented the petition of five hundred citizens of Baltimore, against any modification of the Sunday Law. Which was read and referred to the Select Committee on that subject. Mr. Chaisty, in conformity with notice given on yesterday, moved the reconsideration of the vote by which The Senate bill entitled an Act to repeal section 882 of Ar- ticle IV., of the Code of Public Local Laws, relating to the City of Baltimore, and to re-enact the same as follows, Was passed. The motion was sustained, and The vote was reconsidered. The bill being upon its passage, On motion of Mr. Chaisty, The further consideration thereof was postponed, and the bill referred to the Baltimore City delegation.
