1002 JOURNAL OF PROCEEDINGS [Mar. 20, H. Cole & Co., and insert in lieu thereof the words, "Cole <& Laffan, for the use of Robert Fowler." On motion of Mr. dark, of Baltimore City, The amendments were adopted, and, The bill, as amended, passed by yeas and nays, as follows;
NEGATIVE—None. 'On motion of Mr. Penington, (the rules being suspended,) The House proceeded to the consideration of the Senate Mil entitled an Act to transfer the sum of money appro- priated by chapter 383, section I, Acts of the General Assem- bly of 1870, to the Elkton. and Massey's Railroad Company, from said Company to the Middletown and Elkton Railroad Company. Said' bill being upon a second reading, On motion of Mr Penington, The further consideration thereof was postponed, and said bill referred to the Cecil Delegation. On motion of Mr. Porter, (the rules being suspended,) The House proceeded to the consideration of the Senate bill entitled an Act to provide for taking the vote of the peo- ple for or against a new c ounty in certain election districts an Allegany county, at the election to be held in the Fall of 1872. |
