A bill entitled an Act to authorize the transfer of the stock
held by the State in the Chesapeake and Ohip Canal Com-
pany, to the Trustees of the bondholders of said Company,

Which was read a first time.

Mr. Banner, Chairman of the Committee on Pensions, re-
ported favorably,

A bill entitled an Act to repeal the Act of 1867, chapter
385, which provides for paying pensions to Maryland soldiers
of the war of 1812, and to widows of deceased soldiers of that
war, and also to repeal the Act of 1868, chapter 432, provid-
ing pensions for certain soldiers and widows of soldiers of
the war of 1812, and to provide in lieu thereof for allowing
pensions to certain soldiers and widows of soldiers of the war
of 1812.

Which was read a first time.
Also, reported favorably,

The Senate bill entitled an Act to authorize the Cumber-
land Coal and Iron Company to distribute certain of its as-
sets among its stockholders, and to reduce its capital, with-
out amendments.

Which was read a second time.
Also, reported unfavorably,

The House bill entitled an Act to repeal an Act supplemen-
tary and amendatory of an Act passed at January session,
1868, entitled an Act to amend the charter of the Cumberland
and Pennsylvania Railroad Company, chapter 334, and re-
enact the same with amendments.

The unfavorable report was adopted.

Mr. Mitchell, Chairman of the Committee on Ways and
Means, reported favorably,

A bill entitled an Act to prevent prize fighting in the
State of Maryland.

Which was read a first time.

Mr. Colton, Chairman o the Committee on Claims, to
whom was referred the petition of Ambrose Ingman, for re-
lief, reported unfavorably thereon.

Which was adopted.

Mr. Bowlus, Chairman of a Select Committee, reported
favorably, .
