Mr. Gatch submitted the following amendment:

Chapter 4, section 5, strikeout all after the word "taxes,"
at end of line 16, to the word "aforesaid," inclusive, in line
21.

Which was adopted.

Mr. White submitted the following amendment:

Chapter 4, section 5, line 10, strike out the word "ten."
and insert the word five.

Which was rejected.

Mr. Hardcastle, of Talbot, submitted the following amend-
ment:

Chapter 4, section 5, line 7, strike out the words "directed
and required," and insert the word and, after the word ''au-
thorized," in same line.

Which was rejected.

Mr. Brattan submitted the following amendment:

Chapter 4, strike out Section 6.

Which was adopted.

Mr. Kilbourn submitted the following amendment:

"Chapter 4, strike out section 7.

Which was rejected.

Mr. Gatch submitted the following amendment:

Chapter 4, section 7, strike out all after the word ''allow,"
in line 30, to the word "surveyor," in line 31, and insert in
line 32, after the word "proper," the words : and the Com-
mittee shall receive no compensation whatever for their ser-
vices ; also, strike out the word "their," after the word

"for," in line 31, and insert his.

Which was adopted.

Mr. Gatch submitted the following amendment:

Chapter 4, section 9, strike out in line 2, the words "Gov-

ernor of the State," and insert in lieu thereof, the words:
Judges of the Circuit Court of the Judicial District where
the vacancy occurs.

Mr. Beck submitted the following amendment:
Chapter 5, section 4, line 7, strike out the words "thirty-
five," and insert the words, one hundred.
