So the Minority Report of the Committee, being the bill
reported by Mr. Blake,

Was substituted for the unfavorable report of the Com-
mittee.

And the bill was then read a first time.

The question then recurring upon concurring in the second
division of the motion submitted by Mr. Blake,

It was concurred in, and the bill ordered to be printed.

The hour having arrived for taking up the order of the
day,

The House proceeded te the consideration of the first order
of the day, being

The bill entitled an Act to provide for the creation and
regulation of incorporated companies in the State of Mary-
land.

Said bill being upon a second reading.

Pending which,

On motion of Mr. Biddle,

The further consideration thereof was postponed,

And the House proceeded to the conlidoration of the next
order of the day, being

The bill entitled an Act to repeal an Act passed at the
session of 1868, entitled "Public Education," providing a
general system of Free Public Schools for the State of Mary-
land, and to repeal all laws inconsistent therewith, and to
re-enact the same with amendments.

Bald bill being upon a eecond reading,

Mr. Harrington submitted the following amendment:
