Mr. Thomas, of Frederick, Chairman of a Select Committee,
reported favorably a bill entitled an Act to repeal sections
49, 50, 51 and 52, of Article 11, of the Code of Public Local
Laws, entitled, "Frederick County," passed at January
session, 1862, chapter 53, and to re-enact the same with
amendments.

The Secretary of the Senate delivered the following bills :
The bill entitled an Act, sections 6 and 6, of the Act of 1864,
chapter 121, an Act repealing sections 23, 31, 32, 33, 35, 53
and 54, of the 1st Article of the Code of Public Local Laws,
of Allegany county, relating to the charter of the City of
Cumberland, and to re-enact the same with amendments.
Which was read a first time and referred to the Allegany
delegation.
The bill entitled an Act for the more strict compliance of
the State of Maryland with the provisions of an Act of Con-
press approved July 2d, 1862, entitled an Act donating
Public Lands to the several States and Territories which may
provide Colleges for the benefit of Agriculture and the Me-
chanic Arts.
Which was read a first time and referred to the Committee
on Ways and Means.
Mr. Neill, Chairman of a Select Committee, reported fa-
vorably,
A bill entitled an Act to authorize and empower the
County Commissioners of Washington county to subscribe to
the capital stock of the Marsh Turnpike Company of Wash-
ington county.
