So the amendment was rejected.

Mr. Hoblitzell submitted the following amendment:

Add after line 11: Provided, that on all judgments ren-
dered under the law, there shall be a stay of execution for
twelve months,

Which was rejected.

The bill was then read a second time and ordered to be en-
grossed for a third reading.

The bill entitled an Act to repeal section 23, of Article 41,
of the Code of Public General Laws of Maryland, entitled
"Fish and Fisheries," sub-title "Patuxent," and to re-enact
the same with amendments,

Being upon a second reading,

Mr. Wootton submitted the following amendment:

Sec. 23, line 11, insert after the word "River" the words :
below Queen Anne, Prince George's county.

Which was adopted.

Mr. Hoblitzell submitted the following amendment:
Line 15, strike out the words : "and other property.
Which was adopted.

The bill entitled an Act to repeal section 2, of chapter 434,
of the Acts of the General Assembly of Maryland, passed at
January session, 1868, entitled an Act to grant dqnations to
Wicomico county for the use of academies and schools, and to
re-enact the same with amendments,

Was read a second time and ordered to be engrossed for a
third reading.

The bill entitled an Act to repeal section 13 of the Code of
