cal Laws, relating to Militia in the City of Baltimore, and to
re-enact the same with amendments, and to re-enact the fol-
lowing in lieu thereof,

Endorsed, "Passed by yeas and nays, with proposed amend-
ments:"
AMENDMENTS PROPOSED.

Amend sec. 26, by adding at the end of the section, the
following words: in sec. 13 of this Act.

Amend Sec, 27, line 1, by adding after word "much," the
word thereof.

In sec. 27, line 2, after word "appropriated," in line 2,
add; until the next meeting of the Legislature.

Amend sec. 27, by inserting the following after word
"Act," in line 6, the salaries of the Adjutant General and
the Armorers at Easton and Frelerick, to be included in and
paid out of the aforesaid sums.

After word "Artillery," in line 4, sec. 6, add: Chief of
Cavalry.

Amend sec. 13, by adding at the end of the section :

Provided, however, that all arms, amunition, equipments
or other hupplies directed to be furnished by the Governor,
under the provisions of this Act, shall be so furnished by
contracts made with the lowest responsible bidder, upon pub-
lic notice, and the officer making such contracts shall certify
the account with explicit vouchers, and transmit the same
countersigned and appioved by the Governor to the Comp-
troller tor final settlement, in the mode and manner prescribed
in the Constitution, for the audit and payment of claims
against the State.

The proposed Senate amendments were then adopted,
And the bill, as amended, passed by yeas and nays, as
follows :
