Mr. German submitted the following amendment:

Sec. 1, title "Militia," Hue 2, after the word "dol-
lars," insert the following: Provided, said salary and
amount be deducted from the twenty-five thousand dollars
heretofore appropriated for the support of the Militia.

Which was adopted.

Mr. Gorman, submitted the following amendment:
Sec. 1, title "Schools," line 6, strike out the words, "tax
on passengers on," and insert the words: revenue from.

Which, was adopted.

Mr. Merrick submitted the following amendment:

Sec. 1, title ''Schools," line 9, strike out the word "fif-
teen," before the word "thousand," and insert the word
twenty.

Which was adopted.

Mr. Merrick, submitted the following amendment:

Sec. 1, title "Contingent Fund," line 16, after the word
"Senate," add the words: and Chief Clerk of the House of
Delegates, and strike out the word ''hundred," after the
word "two," and insert the word thousand,

Mr. Hoblitzell moved a division of the question.
Decid'ed in the negative.
The amendment was then adopted.
Mr. Merrick submitted the following amendment :
Section. l, title " Legislature," line 3, after the word "two,"
strikeout the word "hundred," and insert the word thousand.

Which was adopted.

Mr. Merrick submitted the following amendment:

Section 1, title "Baltimore City," at the end of line 8, after
the word "Friendless," insert the words: fifteen hundred dol-
lars.

Which was adopted.

Mr. Hardcastle, of Talbot, submitted the following amend-
