780 JOURNAL OF PROCEEDINGS [Mar. 15,

one from each Legislative district of the City of Baltimore,
two from Anne Arundel, and two from Baltimore county.

Mr. Hoblitzell moved to lay the motion to refer upon the
table.

Decided in the negative.

Mr. Colton moved that the bill be referred to a Committee
of four from Baltimore city, two from Anne Arundel, and one
from Baltimore county.

Decided in the negative.

The question then recurring upon concurring in the motion
submitted by Mr. Cratch,

It was decided in the affirmative, and the bill referred to
Messrs. Gatch, Cameron, Webb, Wiley, Markland, Kilbourn
and Baldwin.

On motion of Mr, Webb, (the rules being suspended,)

The House took up for consideration the bill entitled an
Act to incorporate and establish an Insurance Fire Patrol
for the City of Baltimore,

Said bill being upon a second reading,
On motion of Mr. Webb,

The further consideration thereof was postponed, and the
bill recommitted to the Committee on Corporations.

On motion of Mr. Webb, (the rules being suspended,)
The House took up for consideration the bill entitled an Act

to define the duties of Fire Inspector for the city and county

of Baltimore,

Said bill being upon a second reading,
On motion of Mr. Webb,

The further consideration thereof was postponed, and the
bill recommitted to the Committee on Inspections.

The hour having arrived for taking up the order of the
day, the House proceeded to the consideration of the bill en-
titled an Act to repeal section 3, of Article 95, of the Code
of Public General Laws, entitled "Usury," and re-enact the
same with amendments, and to add an additional section to
be section six of said Article.

Said bill being upon a second reading,

Mr. Dennis submitted the following amendment:

Section 1, strike out in 3rd line, the words "repealed
and," and also the words, "and that another section be
added to said Article to be numbered section 6."
