Said bill was then sent to the Senate.

On motion of Mr. Shipley, (the rules being suspended,)

The House proceeded to the consideration of the bill enti-
tled an Act to prevent the sale of spirituous or fermented
liquors within one mile of the Warren Factory in Baltimore
county.

Said bill being upon a second reading,
On motion of Mr. Shipley,

The further consideration thereof was postponed, and the
bill recommitted to the Baltimore county delegation.

Mr. Neill, Chairman of a Select Committee, reported
favorably,

The Senate bill entitled an Act to repeal section six, of
Article fifty-six of the Code Of Public General Laws, entitled
"Billiards," with proposed amendment.

AMENDMENT PROPOSED.

By striking out the whole section, and inserting in lieu
thereof, the following:

SEC. 3. And be it. enacted, That for every additional bil-
liard table to be kept by the same person or persons, he or
they shall pay a license of twenty five dollars.

Said bill being upon a second reading,

The amendment was then read.

Mr. Merrick submitted the following amendment:

Add at end of section 3, the following:

Provided, all such additional tables be kept in the same
apartment.

Pending the consideration whereof,
On motion of Mr. McLane,

The further consideration of the bill with proposed amend-
ments was informally postponed.

On motion of Mr. Gatch, (the rules being suspended,)

The House proceeded to the consideration of the Senate
bill, entitled an Act to require the Mayor and City Council of
Baltimore to take charge of, and keep in repair, all High-
ways and Bridges within the city limits.

Said bill being upon a third reading,

Mr. Gatch moved that the further consideration thereof be
postponed, and the bill be referred to a Select Committee of
