follows,

third reading.

The bill entitled an Act to ratify the action of the Mayor
and City Council of the City of Cumberland, authorizing
Jones' Alley to be closed,

Was read a second time and ordered to be engrossed for a
third reading.

The bill entitled a Supplement to an Act entitled an Act to
authorize the Franklin Railroad Company, incorporated by
the State of Pennsylvania, to extend their works within the
limits of the State of Maryland, passed at December session,
1836, chapter 76, repealing so much of the first section of
said Act as empowers said Railroad Company to connect with
the Chesapeake and Ohio Canal, at or near Williamsport,
and empowering said Franklin Railroad Company to connect
with said Canal at Williamsport,

Was read a second time and ordered to be engrossed for a
third reading.

The bill entitled an Act to provide for maintaining and
keeping in repair the Public Roads in Calvert county, and
to repeal the Act passed at January session, 1868, chapter
299, so far as the same applies to Calvert county,

Was read a second time and ordered to be engrossed for a
third reading.

The bill entitled an Act to appropriate a sum of money to
pay William H. Morgan, tax collector for Harford county,
for over payment into the Treasury, for the years 1862 and
1863,

Was read a second time and ordered to be engrossed for a
third reading.

The bill entitled an Act to incorporate the Citizens' Bank
of Cumberland.

Was read a second time and ordered to be engrossed for a
third reading.

The bill entitled an Act for the relief of Richard S. Mercer,
and to pay to Peter W. Grain and A. C. Stephens, Assignees
in bankruptcy of Thomas F. Bowie, a sum of money errone-
ously paid into the State Treasury by Thomas F. Bowie, on
account of storage of Tobacco,

Was read a second time and ordered to be engrossed for a
third reading.
