Said bill having been read a second time.
On motion of Mr. Colton, the bill
Was reconsidered to a second reading,

Pending which, Mr. Bowlus submitted the following
amendment.

Section 1, line 17, strike out the word ''penknives," before
the word "furnished."

Mr. Meekins submitted the following amendment:

Sec. 1, strike out all after the word "State," in line 17, to
the word "dollars" inclusive, in line 18.

Pending the consideration of which,
On motion of Mr. Gorman,

The further consideration thereof was postponed, and
the bill made the order of the day for Monday, 14th inst.

The bill entitled an Act to repeal section 63, of Article
81, of the Code of Public General Laws, entitled "Revenue
and Taxes," and to re-enact the same with amendments,

Was read a second time, and ordered to be engrossed for a
third reading.

The bill entitled an Act to authorize the Agricultural and
Mechanical Society of Allegany county, and West Virginia,
and Pennsylvania, to issue coupon bonds, and secure the
payment thereof,

Was read a second time, and ordered to be engrossed for a
third reading.

The bill entitled an Act to amend the 10th Article of
the Code of Public Local Laws of Dorchester county, by add-
ing thereto the following sections, relating to the jurisdic-
tion of Justices oi the Peace for said county, being upon a
second reading.

On motion of Mr. Harrington,

Was recommitted to the Dorchester delegation.

On motion or Mr. Neill (the rules being suspended.)

The House proceeded to the consideration of the bill enti-
tled an Act to repeal an Act passed at January session, 1867,
entitled an Act to repeal section 9, of, the Act of January
session, 1866, chapter 119, incorporating the Union Railroad
Company of Baltimore, and re-enacting the Same with
amendments, and also to add additional sections thereto, to
