On motion of Mr. Shipley,

The further consideration thereof was postponed, and the
bill recommitted to the Baltimore county delegation.

The bill entitled an Act to incorporate the Chesapeake
Coal and Iron Company,

Being upon a first reading,

Mr. Percy submitted the following amendment:

Sec. 1. line 21, after the word "aforesaid," insert the
words: not to exceed six thousand acres of land.

Which was adopted,

And the bill as amended read a second time and ordered to
be engrossed for a third reading.

The bill entitled an Act to authorize and require the
County Commissioners of Baltimore county to levy an
amount of money to reimburse certain parties for building
and repairing bridges in Baltimore county,

Was read a second time, and ordered to be engrossed for a
third reading.

The bill entitled an Act to repeal section 3, of Article 95, .
of the Code of Public General Laws, entitled "Usury, and
to re-enact the same with amendments, and to add an addi-
tional section, to be section 6 of said Article,

Being upon a second reading,
On motion of Mr. Marbury,

The further consideration thereof was postponed, and the
bill made the order of the day for Thursday, 10th inst.

On motion of Mr. Meekins, (the rules being suspended,)

The House proceeded to the consideration of the Senate
bill entitled an Act for the benefit of the Cambridge Female
Academy.

Said bill being upon a second reading,

On motion of Mr. Meekins,

Said bill was recommitted to the Dorchester delegation.

The bill entitled an Act to repeal sections 102, 103, 104
107 and 108 of the Public Local Laws of Baltimore county,
relating to fences, and to re-enact the same with amend-
ments.

Being upon a second reading,

Mr. Gatch submitted the following amendments :
