Leave was granted to the Committee on Corporations to
introduce a bill to incorporate the Baltimore Academy of
Music.
On motion of Mr. Markland,
Leave was granted to the Committee on Inspections to in-
troduce a bill to repeal sections 474, 475, 476, 477, 478, 479,
480, 481, 482, 483, 484 and 485 of Article 4. of the Code of
Public Local Laws for Baltimore city, entitled "Lumber,"
and to enact other sections in lieu thereof.
On motion of Mr. Brown,
Leave was granted to a Select Committee of Queen Anne's
delegation and Mr, Wilmer, to introduce a bill to author-
ize the County Commissioners of Queen Anne's county, at
their next annual levy, to levy on the taxable property of
said county a sum of money equal to a sum heretofore col-
lected of the colored people of said county for educational
purposes, and misapplied, not to exceed in the whole one
thousand dollais, to be applied to the founding and support
of schools for colored children in said county.
On motion of Mr. Veitch,
Leave was gianted to the Montgomery delegation to intro-
duce a bill to authorize and empower the County Commis-
sioners of Montgomery county to subscribe to the capital
stock of turnpike companies in said county.
On motion of Mr. Martin,
Leave was granted to the Committee on the Judiciary to
introduce a bill to repeal section 99, Article 93, of Public
General Laws, title "Testamentary Law," and to re-enact
the same with amendments.
On motion of Mr. Brattan,
Leave was granted to the Committee on the Judiciary to
introduce a bill to repeal chapter 418 of the Laws of Mary-
land, passed at January session, 1867, and to re-enact the
same with amendments, relating to attachments.
