Which was adopted.

Mr. Sword submitted the following order :

Ordered, That after Monday next this House meet in eve-
ning session, on alternate evenings, until the business now
.lying on the Speaker's desk is finished up—Saturday eve-
nings excepted.

Which was adopted.

Mr. Wiley submitted the following order :
Ordered, That it be entered upon the Journal that Mr.
Markland is absent on urgent business.
Which was adopted.
Mr. Jordan submitted the following order :

Ordered, That Wm. H. Grouse have leave of absence for
three days after to day.

Which was adopted.

Mr. Streett submitted the following order :

Ordered, That all bills making appropriations, before

being read a second time, be referred to the Committee of
Ways and Means, and referred therefrom.

Which was rejected.

Mr. Owings submitted the following order :

Ordered, That the Select Committee to examine the Tobac-
co Warehouses and State Wharves, have power, if in their
judgment it is required, to send for persons and papers, and
that the Commissioner of Labor and Agriculture furnish said
Committee with his clerk to aid their examination.

Which was adopted,

On motion of Mr . Dennis,

Leave was granted to Messrs. Dennis, McLane and Webb
to report a bill to amend and re-enact section 483 and section
485, of Article 4, Public Local Laws of Baltimore city,
title "Inspections."

On motion of Mr. Biddle,

Leave was granted to the Cecil delegation to introduce a
bill to authorize and require the County Commissioners of
Cecil county to pay the Crier and Bailiffs of the Circuit
Court of said county.

On motion of Mr. Biddle,

Leave was granted to the Committee on Ways and Means

to introduce a bill to transfer a sum of money appropriated

by Act of General Assembly, chapter 303, laws of 1860, to

the Elkhorn and Sassafras Railroad Company, from said

said Company to the Elkton and Massey's Railroad Company.
